Over two decades, he has led organisational transformations, developed leaders across sectors, built media platforms, and created stories for global audiences — all driven by one question: What must we become today to create the future we envision tomorrow?
His work spans corporate boardrooms, conference stages, and the written page. He is the founder of Nolli Media Haus, creator of the SCALE™ Framework, and a trusted voice for leaders who want to build with both excellence and integrity.
Author's Note
I did not write this book because I have mastered everything in it.
I wrote it because I am still becoming.
And perhaps that is the most honest place from which to write about manhood.
For a long time, I thought becoming a man was largely about achievement.
Work hard.
Become successful.
Take responsibility.
Make money.
Build something.
Protect your family.
Become respected.
Lead.
Win.
There is truth in all of those things. But as I have grown older, I have come to understand that a man can accomplish many things and still avoid the deeper work of becoming.
You can build a career without building character.
You can build a company without building capacity.
You can build wealth without building wisdom.
You can build a reputation without building integrity.
You can build a family without becoming emotionally present.
You can build influence without becoming trustworthy.
You can even build a life that looks impressive from the outside while knowing privately that something important is missing.
That realization changes the question. The question is no longer simply:
"What am I building?"
It becomes:
"Who am I becoming while I build it?"
That question has stayed with me.
This Book Was Born From a Question
The King's Code began with a question: What does it actually mean to become a man worth following, trusting, and building with?
Not a perfect man. Not a stereotypical man. Not a man performing masculinity for an audience.
A substantial man.
A man whose strength creates safety rather than fear.
A man whose ambition does not destroy what he loves.
A man who can carry responsibility without needing applause.
A man who can stand beside a strong woman without feeling threatened.
A man who can govern his desires.
A man whose word means something.
A man who can build wealth without becoming owned by it.
A man who can lead without needing to be worshipped.
A man who can develop people who eventually become better than him.
A man who understands that whatever has been entrusted to him is not ultimately his possession. It is his stewardship.
A man who understands that his life is bigger than his lifetime.
That is the man I am trying to become.
I Have Always Been Interested in Building
Much of my life has involved building — organizations, teams, ideas, businesses, creative projects, systems. Things that did not exist before.
But building has a way of exposing the builder. Because whatever is inside you eventually finds its way into what you create.
Your strengths show up. So do your weaknesses.
Your discipline shows up. So does your lack of it.
Your insecurities show up. So does your character.
Your relationship with people shows up in the culture you create.
Your relationship with money shows up in the decisions you make.
Your relationship with power shows up in the way you lead.
Your relationship with God shows up in what you ultimately believe your life is for.
That is why I have become increasingly convinced that the greatest project any man will ever build is himself.
Everything else is downstream from that.
